A: Yes! appsolutly. Our guides work extremely hard to provide a great experience. Industry standards in Bozeman are in the area of 140 a day.
Q: How many people are typically in a guided group?
A: Group sizes vary, but we aim to keep it intimate for a personalized experience. Float trips are limmited to TWO people per boat. Walk/wade trips are limited to 3 people per guide. Larger groups can be accommodated with additional guides to ensure everyone gets attention.
Q: How experienced do I need to be for a guided fly fishing trip?
A: Our trips cater to all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned anglers. Our expert guides tailor the experience to match your proficiency, providing instruction as needed.
Q: What gear do I need to bring?
A: We provide all the necessary fly fishing equipment. However, feel free to bring your own gear if you prefer. Don't forget appropriate clothing, ex; rain jacket, sunglasses, and a hat/ sunscreen for a comfortable day on the water.
Q: Can I bring my own flies?
A: Absolutely! If you have a favorite fly or a collection you'd like to use, feel free to bring them. Our guides are also well-equipped with a variety of effective flies.
Q: Can I bring my own food and drinks?
A: Absolutely! While we provide refreshments, you're welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions in advance.
Q: Is catch-and-release mandatory?
A: Catch-and-release is encouraged to preserve the ecosystem, but regulations vary. Our guides will provide guidance on local fishing regulations, and we promote responsible angling practices.
Q: Are waders and boots provided?
A: If you have your own and prefer to use them, feel free to bring them along. If waders are needed for that day we can rent them at a local shop.
Q: What happens in case of bad weather?
A: Safety is our priority. In case of inclement weather, our guides will assess the situation. Trips may be rescheduled, or alternative plans can be arranged for a safe and enjoyable experience.
